Funding a decarbonized world
Ecosia incubated and was the first investor in World Fund, Europe’s largest Climate Tech Venture Capital Fund. World Fund considers climate returns to be an early indicator for financial returns and that the most valuable companies of the next decade will be those enabling a decarbonized world. The fund focuses on investing specifically into startups that reduce carbon emissions across sectors including energy, transport, food production, manufacturing and buildings. Their first investments include Treecard (the debit card that plants trees), Planet-A-Foods (deforestation-free chocolate) and Juicy Marbles (produces prime plant-based meat).
